Kid Flash

The offseason is the time to think about training for next football season. Now remember to make sure that you allow your children time to decompress after the season. The one thing that I've learned as a coach and a parent is that it is easier to burn a kid out of sports than you think. I've watched numerous parents sign their kids up for every sport the kid wants to play. This is a wonderful thing, just remember a child also has to go to school, do their homework, run errands with you. When does your kid get to be a kid?

As I sit her and write this my kids have already finished football which started in the last week of August and ended the second week of November. They have gone 4 days a week (3 practice and 1 game) for 4 months. This is also time they start a new school year. That is a lot of planned activity that they want or have to do.

The reason I mentioned this is that you need to remember don't start your offseason training the day the season ends. Football is a tough sport and you need time to get your focus back. Mine turn right around and begin wrestling the first week of December. That is a grand total of 2 weeks off.

I recommend that your kids play other sports (I don't think I'm alone in this thinking). Playing other sports builds different muscles that football neglects. Works other skills required that will improve your football game. All this said, why not work some specific drills that will improve your game quickly so that your kid can continue being a kid? Just remember make sure it is fun. He is doing this while playing another sport, so it can't feel like another practice. It has to feel like a game if you want him to do it on his own.

Super Heros

The music builds, the hero's fate seems set in stone, and the villain is on the verge of winning. Then the hero breaks free, battles the villain's henchmen and stops the evil plot, thus saving the world.

Sound familiar?? A good action and adventure tale is a non-stop thrill ride, designed to transport the reader into a world they may never be able to experience themselves.

But what about those things that can pull the reader out of the story? No, not those pesky grammar/punctuation issues. I'm talking about problem with the story itself.

Here are a few of the things that pull me out of a story and make me wonder what happened. And when?

The hero's development of 'Superhero' abilities without explanation.

You know what I'm talking about; the hero suddenly has super-hearing or strength. But how this happened is a mystery to the reader. Usually, the explanation is so quick, the reader has to stop reading and go back through the previous pages to see when, or if, it ever happened. You need to let the reader know how this ability developed, not in grave details, but at least enough that the reader isn't left pondering the mysteries of physics.

Knowing how to fight like a Kung-Fu master without any training.

Even better is when the hero can beat a martial arts trained villain using basic fighting skills, and without getting a scratch on him. If your hero is going to be able to fight like a master, then you need to show that he's had this ability before the final battle scene.

Bad Guys can't shoot, but the Good Guys always can.

One of the worse action scenes I can remember seeing is one where the heroes are sliding head-first down a rope, shooting all of the villains with handguns while the villains are trying to shoot them with machine guns! They hit every shot and the villains miss every shot. Exciting? You bet ya! Possible? Not a chance! Even an action story has to have some basis in reality. The reader can only suspend belief so long before they'll stop reading.

The hero never, EVER gets hurt.

This one is just plain silly. If you are going to be someone who gets into scraps for a living, then you are going to get hurt. Even if it's just a paper cut from that pesky Action Hero Contract! One of the things I love about the Die Hard movies is just how much damage he can take, enough that it's realistic without going so over the top that you wonder why he isn't 6 feet under yet!

These are the major things that will yank me right out of a story. While I realize that sometimes these things are necessary, keeping them within the realm of reality...if even barely inside...can make your story exciting and realistic. Not an easy feat, but well worth it for your reader.

I watched some of the star wars not a lot. I think it was the 5th mobie out of all six where i saw where darth vader came from. Who is anakin skywalker(kid in star wars 3) whos is hon solo(i dont know) and who is darth maul and luke. Also what is the whole story and order by names of movies

2) The actor playing adult Anakin is Hayden Christiansen

3) Han Solo is a smuggler who meets/helps Luke & they become friends/allies through the rest of the saga (IV: A New Hope)

4) Luke is Anakin Skywalker's son (" Luke I AM your father)

5) Darth Maul was that devil looking character in SW I The Phantom Menace. He was Darth Sidious' apprentice

Man Spider

This is probably one of the most difficult ab workouts I've ever put together. So, if you're not afraid to work your abs in an unconventional way that will leave yours abs sore and on the road to six-pack abs, then give this workout a try.

First of all, I should warn you that this workout is a little bit different because you will do ab work in the beginning and then move into a total body workout.

The first exercise are 10 hanging leg raises. Whenever you do this TT Gauntlet workout, you never move onto the next exercise until you have finished all the reps from the previous one or the amount of time.

For example, if you can only do 6 reps of the hanging leg raises, you don't move on until you have finished all 10, even if you have to take small breaks in between.

Use either a neutral grip with your palms facing inward, otherwise use an underhand grip. Let your body hang with your abs braced while you minimize momentum. Raise your legs up and slowly down as you do a little bit of curling back with your pelvis.

Move immediately into a stability ball plank for 30 seconds. Hold your body in a straight line with your forearms on the ball.

Move right into 20 reps of stability ball rollouts. Roll out and contract back up. Keep this controlled.

Move back to the stability ball plank for 30 seconds. Remember, you have to finish the 30 seconds before moving on (even if you have to take small breaks).

Next, move into 20 reps of stability ball jackknifes. Place your hands on the floor with your feet on the ball and your body in a straight line. Tuck your knees in towards your chest while keeping your abs braced and back out.

Once you have finished those, put the ball away and do cross body mountain climbers (10 reps on per side, alternating sides). Start in the pushup position and bring your right knee to your left elbow. Keep your body in a straight line.

Move into a 45 second side plank. This will give you a nice little break, but you have to finish the 45 seconds before you can move on.

Next is a Spider-man pushup. You will do 10 reps per side, taking as much rest as you need to. Bring your knee to your elbow as you lower down. Drive back up, alternating sides. All the rotation is done below your hips, but nothing in your lower back. It should remain straight and flat.

The next exercise is a chin-up with a knee-up. As you do a chin-up, your knees come up and as you lower down, you'll feel that eccentric stress on your lower abdominals which will cause some soreness.

Take an underhand grip and pull up as you bring your knees up with you. Slowly lower back down. The knee-ups will actually help you with your chin-ups because it will give you a little bit of momentum. Finish 10 reps, again, taking as much time as you need to complete them.

Go into a round of Bulgarian split squats at 1-1/2 reps. Drop all the way down, move half way up, back down again and then drive all the way up. Do all reps on one leg and then move to the other. You can also do forward lunges (1-1/2 reps), single leg deadlifts or reaching lunges in place of Bulgarian split squats.

Next is a Spider-man pull-up. Take an overhand grip and as you pull up, bring your knee up to meet your elbow (alternating sides). You will do 5 reps per side.

Finish this workout with 30 second shuttle sprints.

Only go through this one time in your first week.

This will take you about 18-20 minutes if you are advanced. You can do extra interval training at the end if you want to. That's it!

I heard that
Iron Man gonna be in the movie, the hulk, and other heroes but I also heard that Spider Man was not involve in the movie.
Why?

As the previous answer states... Spiderman was not one of the original Avengers. He's actually be more of a tie-in for X-Men. But, it's also because there's going to be a Spiderman 4. And, it's entirely possible he could make a cameo... but unlikely. There's way too many Marvel Comic movies already in the works...

Please pardon the pun in the title, but it's true, dinosaurs have a "timeless" appeal. As far back as the 19th Century, kids have been literally obsessing over the great beasts of the past. Kids have always loved dinosaurs, but it may be doubly true ever since Jurassic Park came out. And with more Jurassic Park movies on the way, it looks like Dinomania isn't going to be over any time soon.

The appeal, for most kids, usually comes down to one of a couple of things.

Many kids are just in awe when they think about the fact that the world is actually millions of years old, that great lizards ruled the planet for thousands of those years. Dinosaurs are the closest thing we've ever had to dragons, and it really is cool that they really, actually used to exist.

That's probably the most common reason for kids who love dinosaurs. But let's be honest, some kids just want to ride on the back of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, ordering their pet to stomp the school to the ground.

Whichever of these describes your kid, there are plenty of dinosaur themed toys available for all ages...

Mega Bloks Plasma Dinosaurs

Mega Bloks, the company known for their Legos like brick building sets, have also released a line of dinosaur toys which are actually customizable. Basically, if you think back to your favourite toys as a kid, not many of them are still popular today. Howdy Doody? GI Joe? He-Man? Just try talking to kids about those guys today, they won't have a clue what you're talking about.
