You can choose from anime, manga, cartooning, genre, characters, children's, cult graphic novels, history and of course there are many different series that you can start to read as well. What anime and manga books are out there to read? If you are new to this type of reading or you are just wondering what is available, you have a wide selection to choose from. There is Maison Ikkoku, Nausicaa, Pokemon, Ranma 1 and Sailor Moon. Some of these come in volumes or in a series such as the Pokemon books. This is one of those books that children of all ages seem to love.

Of course, there are volumes and series that not only are for teenagers but for adults alike. Comics such as Batman which includes the Joker and the Dark Knight, Watchmen and of course V for Vendetta seem to be for people of all ages. There are also comics such as V for Vendetta and Dark Entries as well.

What Authors Are Available?

There are many different authors that have written these books. These would include Alan Moore, John Byrne, Warren Ellis, Garth Ennis, Frank Miller, Neil Gaiman, Todd Mcfarlane, Grant Morrison, Art Spiegelman and Grant Morrison. These authors have published some of the comic books that have become very popular. These include League of Extraordinary Gentleman, The Complete Maus, Watchmen, Batman and V for Vendetta. Some of these comic books have been made into movies which of course has increased their popularity. For those that do not like to read as much, they can catch one of them in a movie.

Cult Graphic Novels

Cult graphic novels tend to be about Super Hero's or comic hero's. You may be wondering who you or what would classify as a cult graphic novel. If you are curious to read about them or know who they are, here are some examples of just what you can get. They include: Astro City, Batman, Hellblazer, Invisibles, Judge Dredd, Justice League of America, Maus, Preacher, Sandman, Sin City, Spawn, Starman, Superman, Swamp Thing, Transmetropolitan, Watchmen, X-Men and of course the classics. Maybe you have read one of these great comics or perhaps you have seen a movie. No matter which you have done, you will be hooked no matter what your age.

The General Population

Now that you have read about some of the more popular types of comics, you may be wondering what is left to read? There are actually quite a few comic books in the general category that are both single editions and volumes. Some of these to select from are The Animators Survival Kit, The Boys (Volumes), 100 Bullets: Wilt, Fables, From Hell, Nemi, Skeleton Key Graphic Novel (Alex Rider), Angel (Volumes) and Lost Girls.

There is something for everyone when it comes to comic books and graphic novels. As stated earlier, you may think that comics are just for the young but as you can see here, there are many different books that are available and at your disposal. But what if you are not sure what to read or how to get the books that are of interest to you?

You can actually join a book club or a discussion group and get the opportunity to talk about a book or books that you have read and that others have read as well. It gives you the opportunity to be able to ask questions about the stories you have read to get answers to parts of the book that may have confused you.

They also give you the chance to give your opinion on the books that you have read as well. It is also a healthy way to have a great debate about a particular section when you feel one way and someone else feels another way. Having the opportunity to be able to discuss your favorite comic books with others gives you the chance to be able to make friends and spend some time speaking with others that understand your passion for comic books.

The Genre

One last category that is very popular is genre. This category actually covers horror, crime, mystery, fantasy, science fiction, super-hero's and magic. In this category you are going to find the stories that can provide you with the thrills, chills, excitement and guessing. Here you will find books such as Vampire Knight, Angel, Homecoming, Dark Tower, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Sandman, Bleach, 100 Ways to Create Fantasy Figures and Jack of Fables.

All of these books fall under the genre category plus many more. By joining in a group discussion you are going to find other people that are just as interested in this category as you are. This means that you will be able to find someone that you can share your thoughts with about Angel. It is not as though you can walk down the street and just talk to anyone about this.

If you are wondering about what other books are available in the comic and graphic section, just take a look around and you will be able to find many different ones that are available for you and your children to read. Who knows, maybe with a little bit of research and finding out what your kids like to read, you may be able to find something in common and have something that you can share and talk about.

If there is a sequel to Dark Knight who will play the joker?

It seems like there is more to tell about the joker at the end of the Dark Knight. But I cant imagine any replacing Heath Ledger in this movie. So where do we go next? Simply ignore the fact there was ever a joker, say that he died some time between 2 & 3, or find a replacement actor? If we find a replacement, who could possibly follow in Heath's footsteps?

There is news about about a sequel but then there is news there won't be. the director is bailing out. So if there is a sequel it will probably be very different.

Franlky I hope and i think there won't be a joker on the next movie. I heard Johnny Depp might play the Riddler as new villian.

Anyone know how I can find a Fisher Price toy without knowing the name of the toy?

It looks kind of like a spaceship ball, has 3 balls in the top, makes music when batted. The top where the balls are is open. It's about 8-9 inches round. Can anyone ID this Fisher Price toy?

This Morning I was pondering on what I could write about! Like a shooting star falling from the sign, this email came into my inbox. It was written by the inspirational Mary Blackburn and targeted to the last group who attended the Mental Tool Box. But I would like to share this awesome message with you.

To change from where you are now to where you want to be will require ACTION.

There are two fundamental activities for success in any endeavour:

Doing the things you must do in order to be successful; and gaining the mindset that will allow you to become a success.

NO ACTION = NO SUCCESS

The Mental Toolbox gives you a look at what is possible for your life. This glimpse then invites those rare questions that most people simply don't ask themselves. What if I decide to set and reach higher goals? What if I decide to go for my dreams? What if I can change certain unpleasant things about myself? What if I can significantly make a difference in the lives of others? So, from this special sneak preview and these new questions, a new life begins to evolve. Deciding to use these techniques opens up a whole new world of potential and possibilities for you and for those you affect.

We want this program to be a success for you - and we know that means you will need to have a plan, and then methodically work that plan. You have a blank slate on which to write, relatively free of negative emotion. Take a few moments to consider your day. Visualise events flowing, feel your energy in control of what is moving towards you. If you are faced with a difficult situation that day, take a moment to breathe in, visualizing that situation and as you exhale, project light and love to the situation and see it responding positively to your energy.

Having set up your day it is important to maintain the energy. Any negative emotions or negative conflict will destroy your energy. So pick a few of your affirmations and repeat them to yourself from time to time. It can be one word - strength, love, whatever you want.

During the middle of the day, take a few moments to be with yourself. It is hard because there are always things to do. And yet a moment invested in your energy will save you endless time rushing and struggling. Look at the day and feel how it has gone, anchor the positive events to your inner feelings. By reviewing the successes, however slight, and making them part of your consciousness, you set up and affirm that the rest of the day will go well. It can be just arriving at work on time, completing a project, meeting with a friend, interacting with a work mate in a positive way. We often tend to see our lives as insignificant. They are not. Everything means something. Take time to honour your successes.

During this break, if you can't actually get out in nature, at least take a moment to look out at the wind, or at the trees and the sky. Visualise nature's energy flowing through your body, washing away any tiredness or negativity, and refreshing you. This moment will boost the energy of your body. See everything flowing exactly as you want.

At the end of each day create time for reflection - a time to go back over, to study again the things you've learned and the things you've done each day. As you use the techniques learnt on this course, you will want to spend time reflecting on their significance for you. Thanks, Mary, for the wonderful reminder.

This is the first article of the series:" The Wind in Bible versus Quran".

 

The Bible says that the Lord God has mouth, nostrils, feet and He was seen flying on the wings of the wind. The Noble Quran says that Naught is as Allah's likeness in attributes.  Any form, picture, thoughts that you put the Almighty Creator in it is absolutely wrong.

The Wind in the Bible (1)

 

In 2 Samuel 22:7-17, Kind David says:

In my distress I called to the LORD; I called out to my God. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came to his ears. "The earth trembled and quaked, the foundations of the heavens shook; they trembled because he was angry. Smoke rose from his nostrils; consuming fire came from his mouth, burning coals blazed out of it.  He parted the heavens and came down; dark clouds were under his feet. He mounted the cherubim and flew; he soared on the wings of the wind.  He made darkness his canopy around him— the dark rain clouds of the sky. Out of the brightness of his presence bolts of lightning blazed forth.  The LORD thundered from heaven; the voice of the Most High resounded.  He shot arrows and scattered the enemies, bolts of lightning and routed them.  The valleys of the sea were exposed and the foundations of the earth laid bare at the rebuke of the LORD, at the blast of breath from his nostrils.  "He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters.

Herein, there are some very important points:

1) The Bible describes the lord God, the Almighty Creator as He has mouth, nostrils, feet and He was seen flying on the wings of the wind.

2) The Bible describes the lord God, the Almighty Creator as a body which descends

3) The thunder is the voice of the lord God, the Almighty Creator.

4) The Lord God did and performed many movements and acts to save David.

5) The speed of the Lord God was that of the wind

6) The wind has wings!

All of these points are ABSOLUTELY denied in the Noble Quran because:

1) The Noble Quran says that Naught is as Allah's likeness in attributes.  Any form, picture, thoughts that you put the Almighty Creator in it is absolutely wrong.

2) The Almighty Creator is not a body

3) The thunder is not the voice of the Almighty Creator.

4) When the Almighty Creator decides upon a matter, when He wants to do anything, He only says to it ‘Be!’ and it is.  Hence, He could save David in fraction of a second if He willed.

5) The speed of the Lord God was that of the wind; for instance, does not He know the speed of the light?  However, Naught is as Allah's likeness in attributes. 

6) The wind has no wings!

7) The Great Prophet King David can not say that about the Almighty Creator simply because he knows better who Allah is.

The Wind in the Noble Quran (1)

In this article, the following four points will be discussed:

1) The Wind and the similitude of the righteous works of the disbelievers

2) The Wind and the likeness of the disbelievers who are Anti-Islam

3) What if Allah wants to do anything?

4) The Golden verse (faith-wise) of the Quran that describes the Almighty Creator

1) The Wind and the similitude of the righteous works of the disbelievers

 

Verse 14: 18 says:

 

QARIB: as for the likeness of those who disbelieve in their lord, their works are like ashes which a strong wind scatters on a stormy day; they are powerless over that they have earned; that is the far error.

SHAKIR: the parable of those who disbelieve in their lord: their actions are like ashes on which the wind blows hard on a stormy day; they shall not have power over any thing out of what they have earned; this is the great error

PICKTHAL: a similitude of those who disbelieve in their lord: their works are as ashes which the wind bloweth hard upon a stormy day. they have no control of aught that they have earned. that is the extreme failure.

YUSUFALI: the parable of those who reject their lord is that their works are as ashes, on which the wind blows furiously on a tempestuous day: no power have they over aught that they have earned: that is the straying far, far (from the goal).

 

The meanings of the verse:

 

In this verse, the Quran gives a similitude, the likeness, the description, of the righteous works of those who disbelieve in their Lord such as kindness [to kin] or an act of charity in the way that no benefit can be derived from them.

Allah says: the works of those who disbelieve in their Lord are as ashes which the wind blows hard upon a stormy day, one in which the winds blow violently, making them as scattered dust, over which none can have power. They have no control of aught that they have earned.

Allah says: they will not find the reward of their good works which were performed in their state of disbelief, just as one will not find ashes when the wind blows hard on it.  The disbelievers, have no power over anything that they have earned, [anything] that they had done in [their] life on earth, in other words, they shall find no reward for it, since this was never a precondition. That is extreme error, [extreme] perdition!

That is the extreme failure; the error which is far remote from the Truth or guidance.

2) The Wind and the likeness of the disbelievers who are Anti-Islam

 

Verse 3: 117 says:

 

QARIB: the wealth they spend in this worldly life is like a freezing wind that smites the harvest of a people who have wronged themselves and destroys it. Allah has not wronged them, but they wronged themselves.

SHAKIR: the likeness of what they spend in the life of this world is as the likeness of wind in which is intense cold (that) smites the seed produce of a people who haw done injustice to their souls and destroys it; and Allah is not unjust to them, but they are unjust to themselves

PICKTHAL: the likeness of that which they spend in this life of the world is as the likeness of a biting, icy wind which smiteth the harvest of a people who have wronged themselves, and devastateth it. Allah wronged them not, but they do wrong themselves.

YUSUFALI: what they spend in the life of this (material) world may be likened to a wind which brings a nipping frost: it strikes and destroys the harvest of men who have wronged their own souls: it is not Allah that hath wronged them, but they wrong themselves.

 

The meanings of the verse:

 

The likeness, the description, of what they, the disbelievers, expend in the life of this world, in the way of enmity towards the Prophet Muhammad or in the way of voluntary almsgiving or the like, is as the likeness of a wind wherein is a blast, of extreme hot or cold, that smote the tillage, the crops, of a people who have wronged themselves, through unbelief and disobedience, and destroyed it, so that they could not profit from it; so it is with what they expend, it perishes and they profit nothing from it. Also, they have wronged themselves by not giving what is due to Allah from it, (and devastated it) ruined it; likewise, idolatry destroys one's spending just as wind destroys the harvest.

Allah did not wrong them, when they lost what they expended, but they wronged themselves, through unbelief, which necessitated this loss.

In other words, Allah did not wrong them by thwarting the benefit of their harvest and spending, but they did wrong themselves through disbelief and withholding what is due to Allah from the harvest.

3) What if Allah wants to do anything?

 

Verse 36: 82 says:

 

QARIB: when he wills a thing, his command is to say to it 'be', and it is!

SHAKIR: his command, when he intends anything, is only to say to it: be, so it is

PICKTHAL: but his command, when he intendeth a thing, is only that he saith unto it: be! and it is.

YUSUFALI: verily, when he intends a thing, his command is, "be", and it is!

 

The meanings of the verse:

 

His command, His affair, when He wills a thing, that is, [when He will] to create something, or to do anything is just to say to it ‘Be’, and it is.

 

Also, Verse 40: 68 says

 

QARIB: it is he who gives life and makes to die, and when he decrees a thing, he says to it: 'be and it is!

SHAKIR: he it is who gives life and brings death, so when he decrees an affair, he only says to it: be, and it is

PICKTHAL: he it is who quickeneth and giveth death. when he ordaineth a thing, he saith unto it only: be! and it is.

YUSUFALI: it is he who gives life and death; and when he decides upon an affair, he says to it, "be", and it is.

 

The meanings of the verse:

 

Allah is He Who gives life and brings death; No one else can do that. So when He decides upon a matter, [when] He wants to bring something into existence, He only says to it ‘Be!’ and it is.  In other words, it comes into existence after He has willed it, that which is signified by the said words.

4) The Golden verse (faith-wise) of the Quran that describes the Almighty Creator

 

Verse42: 11 says

 

QARIB: the originator of the heavens and the earth, he has given you from yourselves, pairs, and also pairs of cattle, thereby multiplying you. there is nothing like him. he is the hearer, the seer.

SHAKIR: the originator of the heavens and the earth; he made mates for you from among yourselves, and mates of the cattle too, multiplying you thereby; nothing like a likeness of him; and he is the hearing, the seeing

PICKTHAL: the creator of the heavens and the earth. he hath made for you pairs of yourselves, and of the cattle also pairs, whereby he multiplieth you. naught is as his likeness; and he is the hearer, the seer.

YUSUFALI: (he is) the creator of the heavens and the earth: he has made for you pairs from among yourselves, and pairs among cattle: by this means does he multiply you: there is nothing whatever like unto him, and he is the one that hears and sees (all things).

 

The meanings of the verse:

 

He (Allah) is the Originator of the heavens and the earth, the One Who created them [without precedent]. He has made for you, from your own selves, pairs, when He created Eve from Adam’s rib, and [also] pairs, males and females, of the cattle and whereby He multiplies you through marriage. There is nothing like Him; there is no likeness of Him, exalted be He). He is the Hearer, of what you say, the Seer, of your works.  Naught is as His likeness in attributes, knowledge, power and providence etc.

The basic point of faith is that Naught is as your Almighty creator.

Since man is a creature which has Spirit that gives him like; and since Naught is as the likeness of your Creator, then the Almighty Creator has NO SPIRIT.

Hence, the Almighty Creator is not a body or material like us.  Any form, picture or thoughts that you put the Almighty Creator in it is absolutely wrong.

According to the Islamic Rule of Faith, if any one put the Almighty Creator in any form, picture or thoughts, he or she is Disbeliever and has No faith; and he will end up in the Hereafter as a dweller of the Eternal Fire.

This is in spite of what name(s) you are giving to your Almighty Creator e.g. Allah, Lord, God, Jehovah etc.

On the other hand, the vice versa is absolutely True!

What Part In the Sailor Moon Series Is When They Arrive At Crystal Tokyo?

I'm thinking of buying this part of the series, but this is really the only desirable part for me. I want the to know what episode it is that they start their travel to get into Crystal Tokyo, and then have to face their enemy and such and awaken the queen. What part of the series is this? What episode?

The episode where they start to go to Crystal Tokyo is Japanese episode 82 "Journey To The Future! Battle In The Corridor Of Time", which is the equivalent of English dub Episode 75 Future Shocked. It's the last part of the second series of Sailor Moon, called Sailor Moon R.

Star Trek Online is a massively multiplayer role-playing game that takes place

According to the website Gamesindustry.biz have Atari browsing the wallet and

bought Crypric for about $ 27 million. Also there were promised a sizeable bonus

of 20 million if Cryptic next projects serve a given sum, but how large this sum

must be not disclosed.

The current project is the online game Star Trek Online, Champions Online.

Champions Online will be about a topic Cryptic has experience with, namely the

Super Heroes. It will be released once in 2009, and any bonus is paid in August

2010.

Star Trek Online is based on the popular science fiction series, and will be

released in 2010. Sweeps it into enough money for Atari Cryptic can look forward

to the bonus in May 2011.

Cryptic also has a third project under development, but nothing has been

announced for this yet. Whatever it is it will be completed during 2011.

Infogrames owns Atari, and Infogrames boss David Gardner has praise for how cost

effective Cryptic is:

- I am impressed with the tools and technology Cryptic have developed for

reducing the cost of making massive online games. To build huge new worlds and

exciting interaction opportunities often require many employees, but Cryptic has

managed to halve the average cost of production using their tools, "says

Gardner.
